A Real Taste of Culture followed two previous Erasmus+ exchanges and took the themes of diversity and healthy living one step further – this time, to Lebanon. In a country rich in culture but with little awareness around nutrition, we spent two weeks exploring how food can connect people across borders.
We travelled through three regions – from the calm hills of Mjaydel, through the farming culture of Qaraoun, to the breathtaking mountains of El Qammouaa. In each location, we experienced local cuisine, discussed health and lifestyle, shared personal stories, and cooked together. What we learned? Every culture has its own “recipe” – but the hunger for connection is universal.
This project was also about teamwork – through daily tasks, challenges and dialogue, we built trust and friendships. And since a healthy life means both physical and mental balance, we also made space for rest, reflection and time in nature.
We came back from Lebanon not only full of new tastes – but full of ideas for a more open, connected world.
