The project was initiated by Simone, who completed the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program with us last year. One of the goals of his internship was to design and implement his own educational project, and Beyond Words is the result of this journey. He worked closely with the Genesis team on the preparation and implementation of the course, who provided him with mentoring, facilities, and full support in putting his idea into practice.
The program combined structured workshops with interactive and informal activities that fostered an open atmosphere and gradually built trust within the group. Each day began with energizers and movement exercises that helped participants tune in to working together. During the week, they tried, for example, exercises focused on active listening, which led them to pay full attention to another person, or conscious breathing techniques, which promote concentration and inner calm.
Creative reflective activities were also an important part of the program. For example, participants symbolically described their experiences through questions such as 'If today were a food, what would it be?' or 'What would I like to reward myself for today?' These simple but powerful tools helped to process experiences and encourage more open sharing within the group. The program was complemented by rhythmic and cooperative games that strengthened team dynamics and created a safe space for collaborative learning.
Participants gained not only new knowledge about informal education methods, but also practical skills that they can use in their work with people. They strengthened their communication skills, ability to listen, work with emotions, and create a supportive environment for group learning. Many also tried their hand at facilitating activities.
In addition to specific skills, the course also provided a strong dose of inspiration. Music, movement, sharing experiences, and an international environment created a space where participants could discover new ways to bring more authenticity, creativity, and presence to their work and everyday communication.
